These people here at the Stuart Veterinay Clinic are very professional. We were in the Anita Ia area for vacation when my cat, Sam, took a turn for the worse. We were complete strangers to them and they treated us like Family. Explained to me in a carrying way as to what was wrong. It was July 2ND and a holiday weekend. Here we are 1000 mile from home and the out come was not going to be good. They let me have time with him up until the end and then some and I thank them so much for that.

Sam was a stray cat I found and took in in 2003. Sam was approximately 7 years old when I took him in. So I think he was between 14-17 years old. I taught him how to give kisses and hugs. He loved to cuddle when we went to bed. Sam is my best friend.

About 3 weeks ago I had the stuart vet come out and check my mare. Our appointment was at 11am. I had horses tied up, and brushed down (In the rain) by 10am just in case he was early. 1pm comes and I called the vet and he said he's not sure he can come out today. He then told me he would be out at 2pm. 430pm comes and he finally shows up. He checked my mare because She was dropping alot of food so I assumed she needed her teeth done. Her left eye was cloudy, I had no idea why, but assumed the vet would be able to help. She got an all around check up. He gave me a clean bill of health on her. And told me she didn't need her teeth checked again for 6months to a year. This past weekend I sold her. The new owner got her vet out the next morning. Her vet found an ulcer in her eye, thrush in her feet, ulcers in her mouth along with many hooks and over grown teeth.
I'm very disappointed in the Stuart Vet Clinic. I will not be using them again, nor will I recommend them.
Our car had an injured leg and we were about to leave on vacation. The vet got us in right away (Sat. morning) and examined her. She gave us some pain medicine to put in her mouth (not pills, thankfully) and assured us she would be fine. I thank them for getting us in right away. I think we had Dr. Rachel Friedrich, who was very nice and comforting. They charged a reasonable amount, especially considering it was an emergency appointment! Thank you!
They had Sam ready for me on time on the day I had to leave to go home. The drive home on July 6TH was good and bad but I had my Best Friend "Sam" next to me.
